In 2000, she became the first regional marketing and communications manager for Motorola University Asia Pacific in 21 years. Motorola University is the training and staff development arm of Motorola.
She managed a regional virtual team in leading a campaign to launch the use of “e-Learning” to 40,000 Motorolans around the Asia Pacific Region. This included a marketing campaign, roadshow and intranet site.
As part of a community media relations program for Motorola University, she organised press conferences in Hyderabad, India (Motorola and Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT)); and in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia (Motorola and Malaysia Multimedia University (MMU)).
It was a fascinating challenge for Anna to work with instructional designers, HR directors and training managers around the region.
After a successful year with Motorola University, another financial crisis hit Asia and Motorola University closed its regional office in Hong Kong. A new episode in Anna's career began in the spring of 2001. |
