Another memorable event was the occasion of US President George Bush's Texas Bar-B-Q Banquet at the Hotel in May of 1989.

The second place she worked in China is the Tianlun Dynasty Hotel Beijing which is also a joint venture between a Hong Kong hotel management group and a mainland-based partner. Anna was the Marketing Communications Services Manager and part of the Pre-Opening team. The Pre-Opening team is responsible for training the staff and organising their department prior to the opening of the hotel. The hotel had at that time the largest indoor atrium in China and had unusual food and beverage concepts.

Anna was only one of 7 expatriates who completed their contract out of 45 expatriates.

She organised the VIP visit of French designer Pierre Cardin and other notables such as Lee Iacocca to the hotel. The hotel also sponsored the 1st China Advertising and Public Relations Forum with over 900 attendees. Along with managing local media relations, she created an in-house video, and food and beverage promotions with a small public relations team. She introduced the concept of the "buffet" to nouveau riche Beijingers and the unusual food and beverage concepts of the hotel through the local Chinese media.
