BPW International Young BPW Conference and BPW International Asia Pacific Regional Conference

In May 2007, Anna Fang was invited to speak at the BPW International Young BPW Conference and BPW International Asia Pacific Regional Conference to report on the work of the BPW International Mentoring Taskforce.

The conferences were held in Seoul, Korea. At the conference, Anna gave the following PowerPoint Presentation and introduced the new web section on mentoring on the BPW International website. To view the photo gallery of the Young BPW Conference - click here.

Launch of the BPW International Web Section on Mentoring (PART ONE)

At the BPW International Conferences, the BPW International web section on mentoring (PART ONE) was launched.

Out of Hong Kong, the international team for the website is headed by Anna Fang along with the editorial committee of Kate Mead (past president and founding member of HKABPW), Judith van unen (Australia), assistance from HKABPW members, City University of Hong Kong interns (Fion Cheng and Michael Heung) and Olive Stonyer (BPW Geelong).

The first section of the website is about how to start a mentoring programme, guidelines, suggested programmes, and how to select a mentor or protégé. PART TWO will be launched later in 2007 and will showcase over 25 BPWs around the world with mentoring, community mentoring or skills training programmes.

The Chair for the BPW International Mentoring Taskforce is Ninette Trifiletti out of Australia. The website was designed by the BPW International President's Office in Thailand and by webgrrl Thanrawee.

The Association created two posters for display at the BPW International Congress in Luzern which talks about the events in the past three years and the Mentoring Programme. FedEx sponsored the shipping of the posters and the Association's booklets and brochures to the BPW International Congress in Luzern.
