From 2002-2005, Anna donated her services as the official Public Relations Consultant for the Matilda Sedan Chair Race Charities Fund. Each November, 50-60 corporate teams each carry a sedan chair and race around The Peak to raise money for local Hong Kong charities.

In 2003, Anna managed a student team from Hong Kong Baptist University (The Young Agency) who supported her on the PR and Publicity for the event. In 2004/2005, she supervised final year students from City University of Hong Kong's English and Communication Programme who assisted on the PR and Publicity projects for the sedan chair race. At the same time, they were working with a PR professional and learning the basics of media relations.

In 2004, under the direction and supervision of Anna Fang of anna fang public relations, the student team from the City University of Hong Kong's English and Communications Programme obtained US$300,000 in media and advertising value and reached 20 million viewers and 3 million readers in Hong Kong and the Asia Pacific region. In the 30 years' history of the Race, this was the first time the charity received such an outstanding amount of media coverage and value, and were even broadcasted in China on Phoenix TV.

Mary Rafferty , Chairman, Matilda Sedan Chair Race Charities Fund

“Anna did an outstanding job in obtaining over US$300,000 in media and advertising value for the Matilda Sedan Chair Race…”

Eleanor Sackett, Executive Director, Matilda Sedan Chair Race Charities Fund comments:

"Anna Fang has provided pro bono work for the Matilda Sedan Chair Race Charities Fund for the last three years.

In the last two years Anna spearheaded the PR efforts for the Sedan Chair Race Charities Fund, and in 2003 by soliciting help from Hong Kong Baptist University final year students she managed to target and achieve excellent pre and post event exposure for us in the English and Chinese press.

She is very professional but also works from the heart and has given much of her time and expertise to help target the message of our mission, to help Hong Kong's struggling and smaller charities through the Sedan Chair Race, to the media".
